Assalamu Alaikum,
It is with great humility and tremendous gratitude that I thank all the family members of the Abdul Majeed family for electing me as a Vice president of Dar Us Salam.
It was truly an honor and a privilege to have worked alongside the President; Mr. M. L. M. Abdul Salam, Secretary; Mr. Zubair, Treasurer; Mr. Siraj, and Consultant; Mr. Jiffry and all the members of the working committee.
It is noteworthy that the accounts of Dar Us Salam were finalised and audited by Mr. Ilham Fareed for six months.
My initial involvement with Dar Us Salam was where I was part of the constitution committee. We were able to formulate the new constitution and adopted it within a very short period.
It was truly humbling to have 119 family members register with Dar Us Salam at that time and observe their generosity as they began their monthly contributions to the Treasurer every first week of the month.
During my tenure as the VP, among many other things, I supported the Secretary to finalize the minutes of monthly committee meetings. After the completion of one year, I decided to step down from the post of VP.
I strongly believe that it is pivotal for the younger generation in our family to take over this legacy and run it as they deem fit.
I will always continue to support Dar Us Salam and happy to advise if any guidance is required.
May Allah bless the new office bearers and the new committee, to continue this legacy and carry on this charitable and noble work.
